A room full of sewing machines, and a way out

Our first skill centre opened on 11 October 2025 in Ramanthapur, Hyderabad. It trains single women in tailoring and maggam embroidery, free of charge, so they can earn a living of their own.

Why a skill centre

On the road in 2018, our founder found the same thing in every district: most women leaving broken marriages had never been trained for paid work, and had no way to support themselves or their children. Food and shelter get a woman through a month. A skill gets her through a lifetime.

After nearly a decade of field work, counselling and legal camps, the skill centre is the next step: a permanent place where women can learn, earn and support each other.

“Financial independence gives a woman courage and self-respect.”

Help us open the next one

Every centre is the same simple unit: a room, a set of machines, two trainers and women referred by our field teams. It can be costed, measured and repeated in any district.

We are looking for partners to sponsor trainees, equip machines and fund new centres across Telangana and beyond.
